TVB’s judicial challenge over Free TV licences rejected
According to South China Morning Post (SCMP), Hong Kong’s High Court has dismissed TVB's application for a judicial review of a government agency's decision to recommend the granting of new free-to-air television licences, saying that it will not review intermediate steps of the administration's decision-making process. Hong Kong – China’s Youku Tudou Inc. and Hong Kong’s Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) have entered an exclusive partnership that will bring an annual volume of over 2,500 hours of TVB's newest dramas and old classics to Youku Tudou's websites and mobile clients. Hong Kong authorities fine ATV for breach of broadcasting codes
The Communications Authority (CA) of Hong Kong has imposed a financial penalty amounting to HK$50,000 on Asia Television Limited (ATV) for breaching the TV Programme Code and Condition.
