London - BBC Worldwide has launched the Classic Doctor Who channel, which features a mixture of classic clips and exclusive previews from forthcoming Doctor Who DVD releases. YouTube's first live major sporting deal is to stream live Indian Premier League cricket matches worldwide, excluding the US. The Guardian (UK) reports that the two-year YouTube global deal exceeds original parameters that the Google-owned video-sharing website would stream live IPL matches only to countries that did not have rights deals with the IPL.
