The New Zealand television advertising market is slightly behind the huge bounce being found across the Tasman in Australia, but TV ad revenues have still recovered at an amazing rate from the doldrums of the global financial crisis barely 18 months ago. London - DRG confirmed that leading broadcasters TVNZ in New Zealand and VRT in Belgium have both acquired DRG’s new primetime drama, Vexed, which is produced by UK indie Greenlit Productions. Low ad sales lead to revenue drop for Television New Zealand
Television New Zealand (TVNZ) has said its total operating revenue has dropped 16.6 percent due to heavy declines in advertising. It said ad revenue dropped NZ$12.7 million (US$8.8 million) year on year, with total operating revenue dipping to NZ$186.9 million (US$130 million) for the six months to December. TVNZ hit by advertising loss
New Zealand - Television New Zealand (TVNZ) has acknowledged an advertising revenue loss and is taking steps to cut US$12.5 million from its budget. The public broadcaster said that even though it produced profits for a half-year result, the impact of the global economic recession caused changes in market trends and the willingness of advertisers to spend on advertising.
