London – The Cambodian Broadcasting Service has awarded Kantar Media a two year contract for television audience research. SPT’s ONE turns two
Singapore– Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Networks, Asia announced that its Korean general entertainment (GE) channel, ONE, which just turned two, continues to achieve strong ratings across the region. Among pay-TV 4+ audiences, from January 1 to October 10 2012, ONE has garnered 43% of the viewing share between all 19 HD channels in Malaysia. ABS-CBN Corporation continues to top TV viewing in the Philippines, including 12 key areas with huge TV viewing population, hitting as high as 73% in terms of audience share. ABS-CBN’s The X Factor Philippines won in national TV ratings over rival network’s newly launched talent-reality shows during the August 4-5 weekend, making it the most-watched talent show in the country. ABS-CBN Corporation announced that it has topped TV ratings among urban and rural homes across the Philippines for the month of July. Data from Kantar Media reveal that ABS-CBN obtained an average national audience share of 42% for total day or a 12-point lead versus GMA’s 30%, which suffered a two-point decline in viewership last month.
