Global online ad spend leads other media in 1H2012
Advertising is on the rise worldwide and across nearly all media types, according to Nielsen’s Global AdView Pulse report. Despite the 1.3% decline in magazine ad spending in the first half of 2012, gains in areas such as Internet (+7.2%), radio (+6.6%) and TV (+3.1%) drive the overall advertising investment to be up 2.7%. Bangkok – InMobi, the independent mobile advertising network, has revealed the results of its media consumption research for Thailand. The ad network reported that for mobile web users in Thailand, mobile has surpassed TV and traditional online in terms of time spent. IPTV Landscape integrates ads

TV ad spend pays off
Global advertising rose 8.8% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2011 and television advertising posted the largest year-on-year gains, increasing its share of the pie among other traditional media like radio, newspapers and magazines by 11.9%, according to the new Nielsen Global AdView Pulse report.
