Endemol’s multiplatform hit, The Money Drop, has been picked up in three new Asian territories, bringing the total number of episodes sold worldwide to more than 1,000. Endemol India has been commissioned by Star Network’s Star Jalsha channel to produce a first series of 26 episodes. BBC Worldwide Productions has been commissioned to produce Hairy Bikers for the History channel in the US. This comes after a partnership was struck with the programme to license its brand and format internationally. Endemol and Shanghai Media Group (SMG) have entered an international strategic partnership which will see them jointly create, develop and exploit original content for the Chinese and international markets.
