Breeze by the Sea starring Chen Bo Lin and Puff Kuo releases Teaser Poster and 1-minute Teaser Trailer

September 3, 2024 by TVA Editor

Breeze by The Sea

CJ ENM Hong Kong, the regional office of leading entertainment company CJ ENM, together with Central Motion Picture Corporation and Deepwaters Digital Support Inc unveils both the teaser poster and 1 minute teaser trailer from the upcoming Mandarin series BREEZE BY THE SEA. The teaser trailer highlights a few new must-see points for the audience.

Firstly, the immense chemistry between Chen Bo Lin and Puff Kuo. This drama marks the fourth time the on-screen couple is working together. It is apparent that both are emitting great chemistry as a romantic pair in this drama.

Breeze by the Sea inspired by CJ ENM’s original Korean IP Top Star U-back (adapted from kakao Entertainment webtoon “Paradise”) tells the story of a superstar who got into trouble and was exiled to a remote island. The teaser trailer unfolds the main storyline of the drama. The protagonist Bai Yin Mo played by Chen Bo Lin got into trouble due to a fighting incident. He was being exiled to a remote island to experience island-life and decide if he wants to be casted in a variety program set in the island as advised by his manager. Audience may also spot a familiar face in the trailer, well-known Singaporean actress Fann Wong who played the role of the superstar’s manager.

The first person who received the superstar at the island was Li Hai Nuo played by Puff Kuo. As an arrogant top star from the city, Yin Mo was judgemental towards everyone he met at the island including Hai Nuo. They started off as loggerheads. However, as Yin Mo adapts to island-life and appreciates simplicity of the villagers, he mellowed down his arrogance and eventually fell in love with Hai Nuo.

Audience can also look forward to a tailormade drama soundtrack which will feature theme songs sang by some of the cast members. Special mention to the song heard in the trailer performed by well loved singer Cyndi Zhao named “暖流” (nuan liu). Known for her soothing voice, Cyndi shares: “After understanding the story plot and discussing with producer Eric Chen, we’ve decided to perform the song with more warmth and energy. I personally like this song very much and hope that my rendition will complement the drama. I hope audiences will like it too”.

Both music and lyrics of “Nuan Liu” is composed by Taiwanese musician Lockon Lee and produced by veteran musician Eric Chen.

Breeze by the Sea is an 18 episodic drama shot in Taipei and the picturesque Kinmen. Besides Chen Bo Lin and Puff Kuo, the drama also stars an ensemble of actors from Asia including: veteran actress Fann Wong, Golden Horse nominee Hong Hui Fang from Singapore; Cecilia Choi from Hong Kong; veteran actors such as Charles Lin, Tuo Tsung Hua, Ma Nien Xian, Li Chih Chin, Carol Cheng and Ellen Wu from Taiwan.

Breeze by the Sea is in its final phase of post editing, targeted to launch during the festive period of Q4 this year. Audiences can keep a lookout for this one.
