Li expands into East Asia

Taipei – LI TV HOLDINGS (Li) is continuing its expansion in Asia, launching in Taiwan on kbro, a cable platform; Chunghwa Telecom MOD, an IPTV platform; as well as the IPTV arm of Hong Kong Broadband Network, bbTV in Hong Kong. According to Li, these landings have increased the channel’s subscriber base to more than 100,000 in Taiwan alone. Star Publications (Malaysia) Berhad is foraying into broadcast television by taking up a 51 per cent stake in LI TV Holdings Limited, the owner of Li, Life Inspired, Asia’s first High Definition (HD) pan-regional lifestyle TV channel. Hong Kong - LI TV INTERNATIONAL is continuing its network’s regional expansion by launching Li on now TV in Hong Kong. The channel will air on PCCW’s now TV, on channel 516 on 23 November 2010. Life Inspired hits eight carriage deals and four countries in 14 months
