New findings from US-based TDG Research shows connected TV sets are more popular with consumers than 3DTVs. Of those surveyed, 28 per cent more intend to purchase a connected TV over a 3DTV set. Armoza Formats has licensed its first broadcast deal in Asia for its game show Upgrade, to South Korean network Channel A. A local version of the format will be produced by Box Media Productions, as part of Channel A's starting lineup of programming, set to launch in early 2012. The South Korean commission joins other current international productions of the show, including on Canada's V Tele (Quebec) and Norway's TV2. Armoza Formats' game show Upgrade, which gives players the chance to upgrade items in their homes, will be broadcast on two European channels this spring. The first episodes premiered on February 15. Romanian broadcaster Prima TV, a member of the Prosieben group and one of the nation's leading commercial broadcasters, will launch a full prime-time season of 20 weekly episodes of the game show.
