South Korea - Data from the Korea Communications Commission (KCC) has revealed that telco KT had 988,000 subscribers for its IPTV service 'Qook TV', with 703,000 customers using its broadcast service and around 285,000 customers using its VOD-only service, reports The Korea Herald. Seoul - According to data released by the Korea Communications Commission (KCC), the level of Korea's fourth-generation mobile technology is one year behind that of the US, while Japan is ahead of Korea by more than six months. KCC: Mobile content market affected by unfair trade practices
Seoul - South Korea's mobile content market shrank in 2008 due to unfair business practices between mobile-service carriers and content providers, the country's telecom regulator said. South Korea to deregulate on telecom bundle products
Seoul - The government plans to lessen the regulation of new bundle products, such as a combined package of mobile, fixed-line, broadband and internet television.
