Christopher Slaughter steps down as CASBAA CEO
A search is being carried out for the successor of CASBAA’S CEO.
All the major players catering to Asia-Pacific’s ever-growing pay-TV base (cable operators, satellite, channels, IPTV, OTT and VR platforms, streaming service etc) are expected to pack their luggage and arrive at Studio City Resort and Casino complex in Macau for CASBAA’s 25th birthday party. According to CASBAA’s recently updated Asia-Pacific Multichannel TV Advertising 2015 book, the Asia-Pacific now has 500,639,000 multichannel homes across the region.
CASBAA – along with other copyright industry groups – has been pressing for improvements in Hong Kong’s law to give content creators and owners the right to authorise electronic dissemination of their content.
The documentary – that tells a story about the abandoned Filipino children – was awarded to recognise the efforts of broadcasters and producers in pursuing high quality children’s television and better coverage of children’s issues.
