China - The State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) has revealed that CCTV-1, Beijing Satellite TV, Shanghai's Dragon TV, Jiangsu Satellite TV and Hunan Satellite TV will begin simulcasting of standard definition and high-definition programming on September 28. China - CCTV has officially launched its Arabic international channel. The new channel "will serve as an important bridge to strengthen communication and understanding between China and Arab countries," said CCTV vice president, Zhang Changming, in a statement. China - China's national broadcaster, CCTV, is to revamp its flagship news programme to include more human interest stories and critical reporting, reports the China Daily.
