Singapore - Malaysia's Astro All Asia Networks will be permitted to register its logo with the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore. MediaCorp News had objected that they felt the Astro logo was too similar to that of its Channel NewsAsia (CNA) channel brand, which might cause confusion in the marketplace. China: Five channels to start HD simulcasting
China - The State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) has revealed that CCTV-1, Beijing Satellite TV, Shanghai's Dragon TV, Jiangsu Satellite TV and Hunan Satellite TV will begin simulcasting of standard definition and high-definition programming on September 28. China: Shanghai Media Group, Xinhua begins new media collaboration
Beijing - Shanghai Media Group (SMG) signed a framework agreement with Xinhua News Agency on cooperation in the new media field such as mobile TV and IPTV. China Telecom has officially launched its tender for procurement of IPTV set-top boxes on August 4, according to Marbridge Consulting.
