Paris – Banijay International has signed a deal with China’s first online TV portal, Qiyi , to produce its branded entertainment format Date My Car. The agreement will see the portal produce twenty half-hour episodes of the show for a sponsorship partner in the coming months. This year’s MIPCOM saw multiple cross-platform deals made, blurring the lines that once separated television from the digital sphere. Malaysia’s involvement in this year’s MIPCOM has more than doubled last year’s, increasing from 30 creative content companies to 75 at the 2011 event. Episodes scores a Hat Trick
Cannes – Hat Trick International (HTI) has sold series one and two of its prime-time comedy Episodes to Japan pay TV channel WOWOW.
