John Smith today announced that he has decided to step down after eight years as Chief Executive Officer of BBC Worldwide. BBC Worldwide has announced its first pre-sales of Brazil with Michael Palin to a raft of broadcasters, ahead of MIPCOM 2012. BBC Worldwide has made two more pre-sales of new crime drama series Ripper Street, ahead of next month’s MIPCOM, with Canada’s SPACE and NRK in Norway picking up the eight-part series.
