BBC Worldwide announced that Ted Lai is joining the company as Executive Vice-President (EVP) for Asia, with effect from 1 December 2011. CCTV sings a new song
Los Angeles – Shine International, the international sales and distribution arm of Shine Group, has sold talent entertainment format Clash of the Choirs, to CCTV1, China’s leading broadcaster. BBC Worldwide Productions has been commissioned to produce Hairy Bikers for the History channel in the US. This comes after a partnership was struck with the programme to license its brand and format internationally. Measat-2 provides inclined capacity across the South East Asia and Oceanic regions, and the 148°E orbital slot is a key location for wide coverage.
