MediaCorp posts strong financial results
Singapore – MediaCorp has announced a 7.5% rise in operating profit to S$44.4 million for the year ended 31 March 2012. According to the broadcaster, this growth was achieved on a 6.7% increase in total revenue to S$629.4 million, buoyed by strong advertising revenue growth. BBC Worldwide has made two more pre-sales of new crime drama series Ripper Street, ahead of next month’s MIPCOM, with Canada’s SPACE and NRK in Norway picking up the eight-part series.
