With ATF set to start, coupled with the tremendous success of the company’s feature film Hello, Love, Again recently becoming the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time, ABS-CBN, the Philippines’ leading media and entertainment company involved in the creation, production, and distribution of television programs and films both domestically and internationally, announced that the company will be exhibiting at ATF in a new booth under its new banner ABS-CBN Studios. Attending ATF will be Ruel S. Bayani, Head of International Productions, and Pia Laurel, Head of International Sales and Distribution, as well as ABS-CBN Studios, International Productions, Sales and Distribution teams.
Aside from producing content and bringing excellent Filipino talent to a global audience, one of the goals this year at ATF for the team will be to highlight the benefits of its new studio for the first time. ABS-CBN Studios offers a range of production services for TV & Film, including state-of-the-art sound stages, concert and events through Star Music, the leading record label for original Filipino music, and Star Magic, the talent management arm of ABS-CBN known for discovering and training award-winning artists with the likes of Kathryn Bernardo, Arjo Atayde, and the nation’s most popular girl group and global pop idol BINI.
Additionally, while at ATF and as part of the ATF Horror Pitch, the company will be actively looking to secure co-production partners for its newest supernatural horror feature film Hysteria which is written by award-winning Jaymar Santos Castro, who will be in attendance and participating in the pitch event.
In Hysteria, a self-righteous priest investigates a series of demonic possessions plaguing a small town trapped in its own contradictory beliefs. But as the mystery unfolds, a dark past haunts the troubled cleric, revealing an explosive secret that makes him realize he is causing this hysteria all along.
“We are very pleased to be in Singapore to introduce ABS-CBN Studios to the industry professionals attending ATF this year. Couple this with our announcement of Hysteria as well as meeting possible co-production partners for the project, we have no doubt this will be one of our busiest ATF’s in recent years,” commented Bayani.
