Leading independent distributor All3Media International has signed a deal with Chinese streaming service bilibili for 80+ hours of factual content including premium documentaries, factual entertainment and reality competition series.

Following its recent acclaimed launch on BBC Two, the deal will see 72 Films’ premium factual documentary, Shakespeare: Rise of a Genius land in China. This gripping and visceral three part documentary series depicts the life of the world’s most famous playwright as it’s never been told before, brought to life by A-list cast of actors, including Dame Judi Dench, Dame Helen Mirren, Brian Cox, Adrian Lester, Lolita Chakrabarti, Martin Freeman and Jessie Buckley.

Another highlight under this collaboration is the globally renowned IP Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares. Returning to US network FOX for Season 8 after 10 years, the series follows the iconic superstar chef help struggling restaurants across a nation. Gordon Ramsay brings his own menu of frank and forthright advice, as the restaurant owners and managers get a wake-up call they’ll never forget as they embark upon his mission to turn things around.

Additionally Gordon Ramsay’s Future Food Stars UK will make its debut in China on bilibili, where audiences can experience the thrill of the globally travelled format. The competition follow’s Gordon Ramsay’s hunt for the most exciting and innovative food and drink entrepreneurs.  He’s prepared to back the winner with an investment to take their idea to the next level. But winning will take more than a great idea – they’ll also need to prove they have the drive, dedication, passion and talent to succeed.
