LONDON – European satellite broadcaster Sky and UK commercial public broadcaster Channel 4 (C4) have agreed a first-of-its-kind content partnership encompassing Formula 1 coverage and drama series Tin Star.
The pact will see highlights of Formula 1 and live coverage of the Formula 1 2019 British Grand Prix shown on C4. The first season of Sky original Tin Star will also be shown on the channel later this year.
As part of the agreement, selected C4 and Walter Presents drama series will be released on the Sky and Now TV platforms in one go, allowing customers to binge on all episodes. The first full box set to be added is the third season of C4 drama No Offence.
Sky Atlantic’s revenge thriller Tin Star is produced by Kudos (Broadchurch, Humans and The Tunnel: Sabotage) and features Tim Roth. It drew an average audience of more than 1.7 million for each of its 10 episodes when it was released on Sky in November last year.
The third season of Paul Abbott’s No Offence returned to C4 on 13 September.
