Endemol Shine Group today announced that it has finalized a deal to license the short-form series Aliens Love Underpants AND… to Disney Junior US for its linear channels and the DisneyNOW app.

 

Produced by Tiger Aspect Productions (Mr Bean, Charlie and Lola), Aliens Love Underpants AND… is based on the award-winning book series of the same name published by Simon and Schuster, which have sold over 3 million copies worldwide in 20 languages.

 

The series of 12 x 2 shorts, originally commissioned by Sky Kids in the UK and Ireland and available to watch on demand on all Sky Kids VOD platforms and the Now TV Kids Pass, feature the five alien heroes singing and dancing to silly, catchy songs about their other great loves including pets, birthdays and of course the Underpants Dance.  The series is now available on the DisneyNOW app and will subsequently air on Disney Junior linear in the US.

 

Sky commissioned an Aliens Love Underpants AND… game, available to Sky customers via the Sky Kids app from last month.  The game, called ‘Aliens Love Underpants AND The Space Catapult’ is produced by digital agency Jollywise, who worked with Sky and Tiger Aspect Productions.

 

In the game children select one of the five alien heroes, catapulting them from the washing line in space to see how far they can travel – collecting star boosters and hitching rides on spaceships along the way.

 

The Aliens Love Underpants AND… series is being distributed by Endemol Shine International with licensing through Endemol Shine Group.
