ITV Studios’ Dancing On Ice has been re-commissioned in the UK for another series in 2019, hot on the heels of the show’s spectacular reboot this year, which saw a peak of audience of 8.3 million viewers (live overnights) tune in for its first episode.
The live show returned to ITV earlier this month after a four-year hiatus, and is so far averaging 7.8 million viewers* and a 33%* share, up on the equivalent episodes in 2014 by nearly one million viewers and 7 share points, with 16-34-year-old viewing up by 23% on the 2014 series.
With a revamped judging panel, led by skating legends Torvill and Dean, and the reunion of original presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, the series has seen viewers fall in love with skating all over again.
Dancing On Ice has previously been produced in 17 territories worldwide, in addition to the UK.
