iQiyi’s Co-director of Kid’s Channel, Bao Yun stated, “Looi is high-quality cartoon. It’s very gentle, soft, slow and cute. This kind of content is very rare in China. Our Channel’s targets kids from 0 to 6. We want to give the best contents for Chinese children. We feel very lucky can find Looi.”Director at Looi Ltd, Gary Cohen noted, “We are looking forward to partnering with iQiyi, where we couldn’t ask for a better platform for Looi in China. China is a key market and we are very excited at the prospect of introducing it to Chinese children and their parents. Looi is building an audience and a fan base because it is different. Children love the character, his friends and their adventures, while parents love the calming effect it has on their kids. This is an important step as we grow our audience and widen Looi’s appeal internationally.”
Looi is a charming and engaging series for pre-schoolers, which has been carefully crafted to both entertain and aid development at this crucial stage. In each episode, young viewers marvel as different shapes appear from Looi the Cat’s magic box and Looi assembles them to create one of a variety of animal toy figures. With a wave of his magic wand, Looi brings the loveable characters to life, then embarks upon a magical adventure with his new friend.
