Red Arrow International is heading to this year’s MIPCOM to launch an impressive new slate of shows across scripted, format and factual genres. New projects include dramas Farang, Mata Hari, The Romeo Section: Assassins and Pregau; formats Look Me in the Eye, Kiss Bang Love and Streetlab; factual and factual entertainment shows Motive To Murder, Man v. Viral, and adult animated comedy The Cyanide & Happiness Show.
Scripted highlights include the action-packed new Scandi thriller Farang produced by Warner Bros. for C More and TV4 Sweden, about a former criminal played by Ola Rapace living in Thailand, who has his cover blown when his fifteen-year-old daughter comes looking for him; epic new drama series Mata Hari, charting the extraordinary true-life story of the eponymous exotic dancer, courtesan and infamous spy; The Romeo Section: Assassins, a stylish, thriller from acclaimed showrunner Chris Haddock, and Pregau, an edgy drama from award-winning writer and director Nils Willbrandt.
Formats include the brand new social experiment Look Me in the Eye – an emotionally charged show that puts the power of eye contact; Streetlab, a new comedy format; and Kiss Bang Love, the provocative dating format from the creators of “Married at First Sight” that is now in production for FYI in the US.
An impressive and growing factual slate includes Motive to Murder – a fascinating, fast-paced and forensic look into some of the real-life murder cases; and Man V. Viral, combining scientific and engineering detective work with the most spectacular web stunts you will ever see. Also launching at MIPCOM 2016 is The Cyanide & Happiness Show from Explosm Entertainment and Studio71, a new show based on the cult web comic that has become a hit on NBC’s Seeso.
