Paris – Boutique financier and distributor About Premium Content (APC) has signed a string of key international broadcast deals for its major new factual programmes Dream the Future and Freightened. Commissioned by Planete+, part of the Canal+ Group, APC’s cutting-edge Dream the Future sold to First HD in Russia, Tiberius Germany, United Media Korea, Italy’s Mediaset, German-language channel SRF in Switzerland, Studio Hamburg Enterprises Germany and Prima in the Czech Republic.
These deals add to the already extensive list of broadcasters which have acquired the series including: Explora (Radio-Canada) in Canada, Vietnam’s VTV, Hong Kong’s TVB, Odissea (AMC Networks) in Spain, France’s Canal Play, Servus in German-speaking territories, RSI in Switzerland and Planet + (NC+) in Poland. APC will also distribute worldwide Season 2 of Dream the Future which is currently in production with the full series ready by March next year. APC has also sold its thrilling investigative film Freightened in a number of key territories, including DR in Denmark, VARA Netherlands, LTV Latvia, SBS in Australia and Medialaan in Belgium. Broadcasters already on board the one-off special include: YLE Finland, RTBF in Belgium, Austria’s ORF, RAI Uno in Italy, Spain’s Odissea (AMC Networks), TVB in Hong Kong and Planet + Poland (NC+).

Famous scientists, global celebrities and passionate people from around the world will share their research and views on tomorrow’s lives. Produced by Update Productions and Bonne Pioche, the science series explores themes including transport, health, home, food, fashion of tomorrow. Freightened is a thrilling international investigation behind the scenes of the sea shipping business, revealing the mechanics and perils of a powerful, secret and highly unregulated industry that holds the key to our global economy, our environment and the very model of our civilisation. Produced by La Compagnie des Taxi‐Brousse and Polar Star Films, Freightened is written and directed by Denis Delestrac, director of the internationally acclaimed documentary Sand Wars.
