The story of love and adventure in Caribbean Flower, one of the great hits that Globo is taking to ATF 2014, has just been licensed for Barrandov TV. This is the first time the channel, which has coverage in the entire Czech Republic, has licensed a product from a Brazilian broadcaster. With images of Brazilian paradisiacal beaches, dunes and salt flats, Caribbean Flower will be dubbed into Czech and its premiere is scheduled for January 2015. Eastern Europeans are already fans of the Brazilian telenovelas and the title has enough attributes to please the local audience. In the region, Hungary and Armenia also acquired the rights to broadcast Caribbean Flower.
Written by Walter Negrão, author of Destiny River, nominated for the 2012 International Emmy Awards, Caribbean Flower tells the story of Cassiano (Henri Castelli, Gabriela), a pilot in the fighter aircraft squad for the Air Force, and Ester (Grazi Massafera, Pages of Life), a tour guide. The two of them had been in love since they were young, and see everything change when they become victims of a plot from Alberto (Igor Rickli), a false friend who takes his rival out of the way to fulfil his secret dream: marrying Ester.
