MIPCOM, Cannes – Ovation, America’s Only Arts Network, announced the global sales for The Art Of (13×21’), an original series from Ovation’s production arm Ovation Studios. FremantleMedia International has secured the sales, with Foxtel in Australia, Cineplex in Thailand, and Skylife TV in Korea having taken the first series of the show.
The Art Of is a weekly half-hour series that profiles three artists who are creating boundary-pushing work in media that are not part of the traditional definition of “art.” Focusing on the celebrated, as well as the undiscovered, this series explores the creative process behind each featured art form and uncovers how and why these artists do what they do.
In the first 13 episodes, The Art Of explores art forms such as graffiti, tattoo, hip-hop, sushi, sneakers, animation, mixology, burlesque, dessert, hair, fashion, holidays and costume design. The new slate focuses on the art of brewing beer and coffee, comics, 3D, the wine country, pop ups, illusion, sound, makeup, roller coasters, photography, ships, the home, the beach, drag, comedy, Vegas and automobiles.
