TOKYO – NHK WORLD TV, NHK’s international broadcasting service in English, will now be available on J:COM TV from October 1st. J:COM TV is a cable multi-channel service provided by Japan’s largest cable television Jupiter Telecommunications Co., Ltd.

This will enable about 3.1 million more households in Japan to watch NHK WORLD TV, increasing the total number of households to 4.7 million, an increase of nearly threefold.

NHK WORLD TV offers foreign residents in Japan a variety of contents, including latest news on Japan/Asia and programs introducing attractive aspects of Japan, all in English. It is also expected to be useful to English language learners in Japan.
