Jack Lim
In this newly created role heading the company’s Commercial Division, Lim will oversee all commercial relationships and fulfilment, including advertising sales, go-to-market partnerships and creative services. He will develop a cohesive marketing strategy that integrates the company’s portfolio of diverse and innovative products across platforms including TV and radio, press, magazines, and out-of-home and digital properties. As part of this, he will be responsible for delivering a unified proposition, leveraging consumer insights and analytics, to cater to businesses whose customers are increasingly living online.
Prior to this, Lim spent the last six years at Sony Pictures Television Networks Asia, where he was in charge of media and affiliate sales and marketing. During that time, he transformed the network’s sales model in Asia to support its growth into a multi-channel network. Before that, Lim held regional leadership positions in marketing, brand and communications in global companies GE, IBM and CNBC.
Seow said, “Jack’s appointment is a key move as MediaCorp puts even greater emphasis on creating premium original content across our platforms for our consumers and in parallel, fresh approaches for businesses to reach their customers. Jack is a proven leader and I could not be more pleased to have him on board my senior leadership team at a time when we are accelerating MediaCorp’s growth and transformation to increase our relevance to consumers and partners.”
“There has never been a more exciting time to be a Chief Commercial Officer, and the opportunity is especially exciting in MediaCorp,” said Lim. “MediaCorp has incredible potential to help organisations tell their brand stories in powerful and creative ways, backed by data-driven decisions in a multi-screen environment.”
The appointment is effective 1 September 2014.
