Miami, Florida – HBO Latin America and Comarex have announced the signing of a distribution agreement through which the representative company will take HBO Latin America’s original content to emerging countries in the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Oceania and select European territories.
Epitafios, Alice, Capadocia, Filhos do Carnaval, Mandrake, Mulher de Fases and Prófugos are among the most popular HBO Latin America series listed in the agreement.
Comarex is a global distributor of Hispanic content and programming. This agreement includes ‘HBO Latin America Originals’ productions that have already been enjoyed by television viewers throughout several other countries and are recognised on an international level by the public and critics alike.
“We are very pleased that our major original productions from Latin America will now be enjoyed by a much wider global audience, just as they are, for instance, by the subscribers in the United States who have become fans of our series,” said Emilio Rubio, President of Distribution and New Business for HBO Latin America. “We want to continue expanding the success of HBO Latin America by bringing the best of our regionally produced premium entertainment to more markets, worldwide.”
“At Comarex, we feel very proud that HBO Latin America would place their trust in us to execute the international distribution efforts of such successful series,” stated Marcel Vinay, CEO of Comarex.
