London, United Kingdom – KidsCo has confirmed that the Syfy Kids programming block with launch in Asia in July 2013.
Syfy Kids, the product of a partnership between KidsCo and Syfy, will debut with a content line-up featuring original programming and recently acquired titles from Platinum Films and KidsCo joint-venture partners, NBCUniversal and Corus Entertainment.
The Syfy Kids-branded block will air exclusively on KidsCo at peak viewing times and will be fully dubbed into local languages including Mandarin, Cantonese, Malaysian and Indonesian. It will be enhanced with a new graphics package and a line-up of imagination-based content.
Syfy Kids will launch with a first-run exclusive of KidsCo’s original production Zuzu & the Supernuffs (Matchbox Pictures). The block with also feature the recently acquired hit CG-animated series Matt Hatter Chronicles from Platinum Films, Z-Squad from Corus-owned Nelvana Enterprises and Enemes, and animated series Back to the Future from NBCUniversal International Television Distribution.
