Taiwan – Eastern Broadcasting Co., Ltd. (EBC) and Shanghai Movie Corp. will co-produce a new animated cartoon series, combining EBC’s YoYo Man and Shanghai Movie Corp.’s Big Ear TuTu. The making of the new TV animated series and movie of YoYo Man and Big Ear TuTu and their respective products opens a new chapter for the development of the animation industry, and is a cultural exchange of both sides of the Taiwan Strait. EBC’s self-produced cartoon, YoYo Man launched its first episode in EBC YoYo TV Station in 2005. It received numerous awards in digital production, reached record ratings in domestically produced animated series. Shanghai Movie Corp’s main TV animation, Big Ear TuTu is broadcast in over 60 channels on both the national and providence/city levels in China. The new series will be issued and broadcast in China, Taiwan and the rest of the world.
