Singapore – Discovery Networks Asia and Tourism New South Wales (Tourism NSW), the Australian state government’s tourism expert has announced the start of a partnership that will start this month and extend till the end of 2008 to promote the region to Discovery Channel and Discovery Travel & Living viewers across Asia-Pacific. Matt Brown, NSW Minister for Tourism, said “This promotion will reach priority markets for Tourism NSW in countries including Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand. In addition to its extensive subscriber base, Discovery is also seen in more than 350,000 hotel rooms around the region, usually occupied by business travelers.” To further promote New South Wales, both the Discovery Channel Southeast Asia and Australia/ New Zealand websites(www.discoverychannelasia.com and www.discoverychannel.com.au respectively) will feature Tourism NSW banner advertisements. In addition, cross promotion on Discovery Travel & Living will commence in October to support both Man Made Marvel: Opera House and Revealed: New Year’s Eve.
