Cannes – By the end of this year’s MIPTV market, KBS will have secured US$4.5million in sales, according to Oh Suk Kwon, head, global strategy team, KBS. Kwon told Television Asia Plus that over US$3million of KBS’ trademark epic dramas have been sold to Pony Canyon Japan. Seoul - Samsung Electronics and KT, South Korea's dominant fixed-line operator, have set up a partnership to propel IPTV sales amid increasing demand for such services in one of the world's most Internet savvy countries. Los Angeles – Animated series Eon Kid (a.k.a. Iron Kid), created by Korea’s Designstorm Animation Studio, is the top rated show among children 2 – 11 in open-broadcast in the US on Saturday mornings.
