Samsung, KT join forces to propel IPTV
Seoul - Samsung Electronics and KT, South Korea's dominant fixed-line operator, have set up a partnership to propel IPTV sales amid increasing demand for such services in one of the world's most Internet savvy countries. Los Angeles – Animated series Eon Kid (a.k.a. Iron Kid), created by Korea’s Designstorm Animation Studio, is the top rated show among children 2 – 11 in open-broadcast in the US on Saturday mornings. The Chinese government has agreed to carry Korean Broadcasting System’s (KBS) international TV channel, KBS World, into China to be available to 250 hotels from September 1 2007. The agreement was reached after “rigorous negotiation” between KBS and China’s regulator, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) for more than three and a half years. Seoul- The Seoul Drama Awards, an annual competition for dramas produced worldwide, were presented on August 28 at the KBS Hall in Seoul with Japanese, Korean and Chinese works taking top honours.
