BBC World News has announced on July 9 the new presenter for its flagship programme Global. Matthew Amroliwala joins the international news channel from the BBC’s UK service. Singapore – Worldwide pay-TV market reached 903.3 million subscribers in 2013, generating $249.8 billion in service revenue. Global advertising rose 8.8% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2011 and television advertising posted the largest year-on-year gains, increasing its share of the pie among other traditional media like radio, newspapers and magazines by 11.9%, according to the new Nielsen Global AdView Pulse report.
