BBC Worldwide has published its Annual Review for 2011/12 showing an eight percent rise in headline profit to £155m (2010/11: £144m). Profit before tax of £104m (2010/11: £92m excluding gains on disposals) is up 13% on a like for like basis. BBC iPlayer extends reach
BBC Worldwide has announced the trial date of its on-demand Global BBC iPlayer on Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. The application will be available for use on 8 December. Currently available on Apple iPad, the extended pilot subscription service will now reach millions of new viewers in Australia, Canada and Germany, among others.
