Australia – ABC Commercial has sold the newly animated Bananas in Pyjamas series (104 x 12’) to Disney Junior and five free to air broadcasters in the Asia Pacific region. The stars B1 and B2 will soon be running down the stairs in CGI animation in South East Asia and individually in Thailand, Singapore, The Philippines, Hong Kong and New Zealand. Disney goes 100% Korean
Seoul – Television Media Korea (TMK), the joint venture formed in May 2010 between Disney Channel International (DCI), and SK Telecom, has announced the launch dates for the first local language, Disney-branded channels in South Korea. Singapore – Disney gave select media a sneak peek at the new Disney Junior yesterday in Singapore. The channel, which debuts on July 11 in Southeast Asia and replaces The Playhouse Disney brand, will feature a number of new programmes and blocks to both entertain and educate kids aged 2-7. In the House episode Emancipation (season five), Alexi Murdoch, gave the series’ viewers a taste of his limited release EP album Towards the Sun with a sample of the song ‘Through the Dark’.
