According to the Bangkok Post, Thai cable television company CTH is suing Apple for $3 million, for selling an app that violates its exclusive rights to the EPL. The Bangkok Post reported that this move is aimed at solving the problem of slow installation of its cable-TV and Ku-band satellite-TV services for new subscribers wishing to watch the EPL games. According to The Nation, the head of CTH, a leading Thai pay-TV operator, confirmed that his company has reached a sublicensing deal with MCOT to televise 17 live matches per season of the English Premier League through Modernine TV, until 2016.
