Foxtel grabs exclusive rights to awards shows
Sydney- Foxtel has secured exclusive television rights to the Golden Globes, the Grammy awards, the Tony awards and the American Music Awards, plus excusive live coverage of the Emmy awards. Foxtel also announced a new, 3-year deal to serve as the official broadcaster of the Helpmann Awards, which recognise excellence in live performance in Australia. Gladiators to duel again on the Seven Network
Sydney- The Seven Network is dusting off the Gladiators format, announcing that a new version of the reality show will premiere in Australia in 2008. Gladiators was last seen in Australia on 1995. Miranda to lead NBC-U’s channels push in the region
London - Raymund Miranda has been appointed Managing Director, Asia, Global Networks for NBC-Universal, based in Singapore, effective Nov.1 2007. Miranda will be responsible for launching the commercial operations for Global Networks in Asia and for building NBC Universal’s channels relationships in the region.
