The 2nd annual Asia Pacific Entertainment & Media (APEM) Summit 2007, an executive-level conference and networking forum for the entertainment industries of Asia, will be held at the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles from Oct. 17 – 18. Hosted by Entertainment Asia Network (EAN), the event brings together Asian broadcasters, film and TV production and distribution houses, online game companies, mobile service providers, product manufacturers and legislative leaders to discuss ways to maximize profits in Asia. Conferences will cover legislation, film and TV production and distribution, IPTV and VOD, mobile TV, online gaming, Internet and user generated content as well as social networking. Star’s COO Laureen Ong will be keynoting the event on the first day, with executives including Reed Manville, MD, Asia, NBC Universal Global Networks; Jeanie Han, SVP, Paramount Pictures; Eric Rollman, EVP, Animation/Television, Marvel Studios; May Oh, Head of Business Development for Greater China and India, QUALCOMM | MediaFLO; and HJ Ahn, VP, Media Division, KT Corporation among the panelists.
