Six chosen for inaugural 1Asia co-pro scheme
Judges have chosen six submissions to undertake co-productions between Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) members and Japanese programme producers under the new 1Asia banner, a scheme which encourages co-pro and collaboration between Asian broadcasters and producers. The six ABU members are: Metro TV-Indonesia, TV3-Malaysia, TRT-Turkey, PTV-Philippines, MNB-Mongolia and the Forever Group of Myanmar. Australia gets new communications minister
According to the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), Deputy PM Anthony Albanese has been given the communications portfolio in the Ministerial reshuffle announced by returned Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd.
