Lucas Chow, CEO and Director of MediaCorp Pte Ltd. announced his resignation to the company's staff today. Mr Chow, who has held the top job at Singapore's state broadcaster since 2005, is expected to leave on 31 July 2011. Mr Teo Ming Kian, MediaCorp Chairman, said a committee has been established to consider a successor from both outside and within the company. MEASAT and Globecast sign new distribution deal
MEASAT Satellite Systems Sdn. Bhd. announced today that an agreement was signed with GlobeCast to distribute two new channels, TV5Monde Asia and the Travel Channel. The two new channels are being broadcast across Asia, Australia and the Middle East via the MEASAT-3 satellite. MEASAT-3 is collocated with the MEASAT-3a satellite at the prime hot slot of 91.5°E.
