Discovery’s channels could disappear from StarHub platforms

After reaching an impasse in recent negotiations between Discovery and StarHub, the latter has announced to cease transmission of all Discovery’s 11 channels on StarHub platforms.   “StarHub was not prepared to pay fair value,” said Discovery's South-East Asia Marketing and Communications Director Charmaine Huet.   “All we are asking for is the equivalent of a cup of coffee per customer per month. Greece licenses first season of “Who’s Asking?”

Singing competition “The Four” commissioned in Israel

Armoza Formats’ prime time singing competition, The Four, has been licenced for local adaptation in Israel by TV network Reshet 13.   This deals marks the 19th country to have taken the Armoza-created format for local production and comes just a week before the premiere of the 2nd season on FOX in the US. Portugal broadcaster RTP orders 200 episodes of “Joker”

Global Agency announced today that their entertaining and challenging quiz show, Joker, will launch on Portuguese broadcaster RTP.   Produced by Valentim de Carvalho with a commitment for 200 episodes, the show will be airing on RTP in September this year.
