NHK-Japan and ABS-CBN-Philippines have won awards at the 30th Banff World Television Festival. NHK walked away a winner with its BITWORLD-Rescue Toya! programme in the Interactive Entertainment category. ABS-CBN of the Philippines took the Telenovela Programmes award for The Wolf (Lobo). The BBC bagged the Comedy Programme award with Beautiful People, the Reality Format Programme award for Blood, Sweat and T-Shirts, and the Wildlife and Natural History Programme award for The Gorilla King. A total of 130 programmes from over 30 countries were chosen as finalists in 23 programme categories.
