Sony Pictures Networks India appoints Harsh Sheth as Business Head – Sony Entertainment Television

February 2, 2026 by TVA Editor

Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has announced the appointment of Harsh Sheth as Business Head – Sony Entertainment Television (SET). In this role, he will lead the channel’s overall business strategy and P&L, reporting to Nachiket Pantvaidya, Chief Content Officer – SET, Sony Marathi and Movie Production.

Sheth brings close to two decades of experience in building and scaling high-impact media businesses across television and digital platforms. He joins SPNI from JioStar, where he was Business Head – Star Bharat & Star Utsav. During his tenure, he led Star Utsav’s transformation following its free-to-air (FTA) entry, steering the channel to the #1 position nationally, while also strengthening Star Bharat’s financial performance through disciplined cost management and sharper content optimisation.

Prior to this, he spent over a decade with Disney Star, where he played a key role in building India’s leading movie network. As Business Head – Hindi & English Movies, he played a pivotal role in building one of India’s leading movie networks, driving sustained profitability and forging long-term partnerships with leading studios and creative talent.

Nachiket Pantvaidya – Chief Content Officer, Sony Entertainment Television (SET), Sony Marathi, and Movie Production, commented, “Harsh brings a strong blend of commercial acumen, audience insight, and leadership experience. As SET sharpens its growth and business ambitions, his experience in building large, profitable entertainment businesses will be a valuable addition to the team.”

Harsh Sheth – Business Head, Sony Entertainment Television (SET), said, “SET is one of India’s most iconic entertainment brands. I’m excited to join SPNI and look forward to working closely with Nachiket and the leadership team to drive the next phase of growth and strengthen SET’s market leadership.”
