KidZ Announces the Launch of Its First Two Original Animated Series

December 25, 2025 by TVA Editor

KidZ has announced a significant expansion of its kids’ entertainment slate with the launch of its first two original animated series Chote Tara ka Bada Gadar and FAB 5. Developed to bring Indian storytelling, imagination, and values together in fresh, contemporary formats, the new titles introduce engaging narratives crafted specifically for children and family audiences. Tara ka Bada Gadar is all set to premiere on 24th December on KidZ while FAB 5 will release soon on the platform.  With its entry into the kids’ segment, ZEE5 Global aims to build a vibrant universe of Indian stories designed to spark imagination and deliver meaningful, culturally rooted entertainment. This slate will sit alongside popular titles like Chhota Bheem and select international IPs, creating a wholesome, premium content offering for young viewers.
KidZ is where safe meets fun, offering content parents trust and stories kids truly love. With wholesome, age-appropriate, parent-approved shows, the platform lets children watch happily and freely, while giving parents the comfort to take a little me-time.
‘Chote Tara ka Bada Gadar’ teleports children to Himmatpur, a village where folktales, mythical creatures and unexpected villains collide with everyday life. At the centre is Chote Tara, a spirited ten-year-old whose fearlessness sets the tone for a world filled with explosive action, hidden secrets and a mysterious underground realm tied to ancient Indian legends.
‘FAB 5’ introduces viewers to 10-year-old Anand, who discovers he can merge with his four magical toy friends: Rikki, the mighty rhino; Mayur, the elegant peacock; Mimmi, the speedy deer and Mitthu, the sharp parrot – each with their unique powers and personalities. Together, this unlikely team must protect their family amusement park and a hidden mystical realm from rising dark forces.
Both shows feature vibrant, high-energy title tracks that are designed to instantly hook young audiences, adding to the excitement and anticipation around their launch.
Chandan Khandelwal, Business Head – Kids Division, ZEE5 India & Global, said, “With KidZ, we’re creating a safe, joyful space where children can explore stories rooted in Indian culture, stories that spark imagination, celebrate values, and deliver fun with meaning. Through originals like Chote Tara ka Bada Gadar and FAB 5, we’re blending entertainment and edutainment with purpose, offering kids engaging, values-driven narratives that teach without preaching. Alongside these, they’ll find beloved favourites like Chhota Bheem and global hits they already love. Our goal is simple: to delight children and give parents the confidence that their kids are watching content that uplifts, inspires, and brings Indian stories to the forefront, whether in India or anywhere in the world. For me, this is deeply personal. As a parent, I’m building something I’d be proud to enjoy with my own child.”
