Magna Systems has signed a partnership agreement to represent and sell Panasonic Connect products in Australia.
Magna Systems & Engineering group CEO, Matthew Clemesha, said, “Panasonic Connect are a manufacturer with a reputation for quality that is second to none. We see great opportunities for their products, particularly in the broadcast, AV and house of worship markets across Australia. This new partnership is a perfect fit for Magna, our clients and the industries we work within.”
As a result of the new agreement, Magna’s focus will be centred around Panasonic’s Kairos IT/IP Platform, AW-UE160K 4K integrated camera, 4K studio cameras and the Panapod elevation unit.
The KAIROS IT/IP platform is a live video production platform developed based on a new concept and innovative architecture. It incorporates proprietary, ground-breaking software to maximise the CPU and GPU capacities for video processing.
Next gen Kairos Core 200 and 2000 mainframes achieve unprecedented innovation for live video. The live video production platform allows flexible system configuration and operation, delivering improved video quality and productivity.
The newly released AW-UE160 is part of Panasonic’s comprehensive professional PTZ camera lineup and a camera that enables users to realise next gen video production with various shooting methods and functions. The AW-UE160 supports return input and high-speed output which is vital for building a combined camera system. This camera is also the first to support the ST-2110 standard, JPEG XS and 5G mobile router (USB tethering compatible) – the standard for IP transmission in the broadcasting industry.
By combining a system camera with a PTZ Camera, the AW-UE160 overturns the conventions of the video content industry with its unique style of video production that can be expressed through a variety of shooting techniques, its industry-leading shooting performance with a variety of new functions and its scalability to support the latest international standards and a wide range of protocols and I/Fs.
Panasonic’s 4K studio cameras provide extremely high video quality. Compatible with a 2/3 lens mount and with a newly developed large 4.4K sensor these cameras offer the high video quality that is only possible with a large sensor, along with a wide range of 4K acquisition with the latest functions such as HDR (HLG), BT.2020 and high-speed shooting.
The Panapod is an elevation unit specifically designed for Panasonic PTZ cameras. The elevation unit can be used as a standalone system on a stage, in a studio, behind a goal, in a conference venue, or in a press conference to provide an unobtrusive camera position that is great for the spectators whilst not interfering with the artists, players’ action, presenters or the sequence being shot.
Panasonic Connect Product Marketing Manager – Professional Video Mathew Alexander said, “Magna have the experience, the team, the reach and the reputation that all perfectly compliment Panasonic products and our approach. Our companies work well together and as a result, we see great benefits for the broadcast and AV markets.”
