Cannes – Leading international distribution and media agency Quintus Media has signed a deal with Discovery Channel Latin America for the crime docs-series Behind Bars: The World’s Toughest Prisons. Set for transmission on Investigation Discovery to almost 50 countries in Latin America and Discovery en Español for the Hispanic market in the US, Behind Bars: The World’s Toughest Prisons takes viewers to the world’s most notorious and extraordinary prisons.
Produced by German factual specialist MAXIMUS FILM GmbH, the series reveals what it really means to be part of this very special world – from different angles. At each prison visited audiences will be immersed into everyday prison life and will experience firsthand the challenges each guard faces on a daily basis; likewise, he or she will learn about the prisoner’s struggles to develop strategies for survival. Behind Bars: The World’s Toughest Prisons is a never-before-seen insight into an unbelievable world, which exists within the realms of law and justice but with its own definitions of right and wrong.
