Montreal – The Kennedys: After Camelot, has been selected as one of the best new drama series from around the world and will be screened for international buyers at Berlinale’s European Film Market between Feb 13-17, 2017 in Berlin, Germany. Produced by Muse Entertainment, After Camelot is the sequel to the multiple award-winning The Kennedys and stars Katie Holmes as Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Matthew Perry as Senator Ted Kennedy, Kristen Hager as Joan Kennedy and Alexander Siddig, as Aristotle Onassis.
The European Film Market (EFM) is the business epicenter of Berlinale, one of the most important international film festivals in the world and the first date in the film and television industry’s calendar. The Kennedys: After Camelot is part of the Drama Series Screenings.
The Kennedys: After Camelot covers the years from 1968 to 1999 in the life of the Kennedy family following the murders of President John F Kennedy and his brother Robert Kennedy. It depicts the complicated public and private life of Jackie Kennedy and her marriage to Aristotle Onassis. Jackie had become the most famous and admired woman in the world, despite her desire for privacy. The 4-hour miniseries also follows the complex life of Ted Kennedy, the youngest son, as he tries to live up to the political ambitions of the Kennedy clan.
In Canada, the miniseries will be broadcast by Bell Media’s Bravo and Super Écran in April 2017.
The Kennedys: After Camelot is based on the New York Times best seller “After Camelot: Personal History of the Kennedy Family 1968 to the Present,” by best-selling author and biographer J.
